DBA Insurance is a contractual requirement for all U.S. Government Prime Contractors or their Subcontractors with civilian employees overseas. Similar to Workers’ Compensation in the U.S., DBA Insurance is social insurance which compensates employees for injuries, illnesses or death sustained in the course of their employment. In contrast to domestic Workers’ Compensation, reasonable premiums paid for DBA policies are reimbursed to the contractor by the federal government.
